This is the neighborhood app for The Canyons at Scenic Loop. Board members of the Property Owners Association use it to send urgent notices to everyone, and to post neighborhood events on the calendar.
Upcoming, Alerts, and Directory are on your iPhone. The same three are on the website:

At the bottom of the screen is the tab bar, with three sections: Upcoming, Alerts, and Directory.
What it is for
- Urgent notices to everyone.
- A calendar of what is coming up: events from the board, and events from any social club you belong to.
- A directory of neighbors who have chosen to share their name, street, and email or phone.
What it is not
It is not email, and it is not a chat. It does not replace the neighborhood website. Social clubs are run by neighbors, not by the board or the management company. The current list of social clubs is at thecanyonsatscenicloop.com/social.
How to use it
Get the app from the App Store, then open it.
Sign in
Open The Canyons app. Enter the email address Alamo Management Group (AMG), the HOA management company, has on file for your property. If an owner added you to their household, use the email they entered for you. Tap Send code.
The app then emails you a six-digit code to confirm the email address is yours. Enter the code in the app.
The email you use must appear on the Alamo record for your property. You can check it here: thecanyonspropertyownersassociation.eunify.com/MyAccountView. Look for Email Address.
Your phone stays signed in until you delete the app.
Upcoming
Upcoming is the calendar. Each event has a title, a time, and a place. Times are in Central Time. Tap Add to Calendar to save it to the calendar on your phone.
Neighborhood-wide events have no extra label. If you belong to a social club, that club’s events appear here as well, with the club name on them. Neighbors who are not in that club do not see those events.
Alerts
An alert is a short notice. It can appear on your lock screen, and it remains in the Alerts tab for two weeks.
The first time you open the app, you will be asked to allow notifications. Turn them on if you want a lock-screen notice when the board needs to reach everyone quickly — for example, a closed gate, or weather that affects the gates. You will also see notices from social clubs you belong to.
Swipe an alert away when you are finished with it.
Directory
Directory is the neighborhood list. Only people who chose to share appear there. Search by name or street. You can sort by last name or first name.
To appear in the Directory yourself, tap your profile (the person icon at the top). Enter your name. Add a phone number if you wish. Then turn on Share email, Share phone, or both.
Your household
If your email is on the owners list, you can add the other people who live at your house. Open your profile with the person icon at the top of Upcoming or Directory. Household is under the Directory switches.
Each person signs in with their own email, on their own phone. They see neighborhood events and alerts. If they belong to a club, they see that club too. They can also lead a club.
You cannot change their email. To use a different email, tap Remove, then add them again. Remove also takes them off every club they are in. They can no longer sign in with that email.
Add someone
On the Household screen, under Add someone to the household, enter a first name, a last name, and their email. Phone is optional. Tap Add.
They get an email that tells them to download The Canyons app and sign in with that address.
You can add up to three other people. That is four people in the household, including you.
